The international experts who work with government officials to discuss ways on how to further improve public debt management in Latin America and the Caribbean today.

Created by all countries of Latin America and the Caribbean with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank, the group is an important instrument for cooperation and coordination between countries and to exchange experiences and discuss technical issues related to debt management and development of local currency.

In recent years several countries have developed a yield curve and significantly reduce the cost of debt depends on the level of risk. This group also helped develop local capital markets and withdraw savings from within and abroad.

Deputy Minister of Finance and Public Credit of Colombia, María Ines Agudelo, highlighted the dramatic progress of their country’s bond market. In Spain there are four kinds of company books for which there only one copy exists and they have to be authenticated by the Commercial Registry for the place where the company has its registered office. The process of authentication prevents tax fraud but also makes it possible for the company to defend itself against public authorities and in the context of legal proceedings.

The Commercial Registry Regulations make it obligatory to authenticate the following books at least:

1. The company’s minute book.

2. The company’s share register or, as the case may be, register of members, depending on whether the company is a public limited company or a private limited company [sociedad limitada] respectively.
